Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare feasibility documents, systems engineering documents, and detailed design documents for traffic control equipment and communication devices.
  • Support projects involving Intelligent Transportation Systems, Connected and Automated Vehicle operations, and traffic management systems.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, accounts receivable, and manpower requirements.
  • Develop Project Management plans, establish project pricing and budgets, and create and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage subconsultants and oversee assigned staff working on projects.
  • Participate in client presentations and coordinate marketing proposals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer in the candidate’s state of residence, with the ability to obtain additional PEs in other states.
  • 10+ years of experience in specialized disciplines, including planning, systems engineering, design, and procurement of traffic management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with standard design contracts, task order contracts, and design-build contracts.
  • Familiarity with MUTCD, NEMA, NTCIP standards, and V2X communications.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • INCOSE systems engineering certification
