Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine technology landscape, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide engineering leadership and hands-on support for IT infrastructure projects.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and prototyping of new technologies.
- Act as a technical expert in frameworks, tools, and engineering methodologies.
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate business strategies into actionable solutions.
- Prepare and present technical proposals and solution designs for review.
- Support the design and implementation of security controls and toolsets.
- Drive continuous improvement and modernization of core systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Lead project engineering resources to ensure cohesive and effective technical delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge in a minimum of three of the following technical disciplines:
- Infrastructure and network configuration (Hyper-Converged experience a plus. CISCO OS and firewalls experience required. Experience with WatchGuard, Sonicwall and CISCO a plus.)
- Implementation of Cloud technologies (M365 & Azure)
- Understanding of System operations including DevOps toolsets
- Database management (SQL Server, Managed SQL, SQL PaaS)
- Security Architecture Frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001:202x, CIS)
- End User Computing Technologies (RDS, Nerdio, Azure Virtual Desktop)
- Hardware and Datacenter Infrastructure and migrations
- Strong knowledge of technical design and architectural patterns.
- Experience with IT Operations Management, IT service management (ITSM), and ITIL (ideally ITIL certified).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
