  • Comprehensive Involvement: Support applications engineering and product management during project quoting and scoping phases. Generate complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical systems, ensuring seamless project execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement power distribution and control systems for large-scale manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system wiring diagrams.
  • Integrate and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and safety devices into automated equipment.
  • Ensure all control systems comply with applicable codes and standards.
  • Provide on-site support for system installation, debugging, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support applications engineering and product management during project quoting and scoping phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, components, and emerging technologies.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of controls engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably with large or custom machinery.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and VFDs.
  • Expertise in designing and troubleshooting control systems for motors, servos, low-voltage DC devices, and industrial sensors.
  • Proficient in electrical schematic design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical system behavior and apply control strategies to ensure proper operation.
