We are seeking an industry leading SATCOM Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Satellite Network Design & Implementation: Contribute to the design and implementation of satellite onboard networking and routing technologies, focusing on network protocols, architecture, algorithms, and coding techniques.
• Network Testing & Analysis: Perform testing and analysis using network simulation and emulation to ensure reliable and efficient network performance.
• Collaboration & Software Reviews: Participate in software reviews with peers and work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment with client needs and project goals.
• Documentation & Compliance: Manage and maintain project documentation, including networking configurations and protocols, ensuring compliance with government standards and regulations.
• Technical Problem Solving: Address technical challenges in network design and implementation, providing innovative solutions that meet project and client requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Contribute to team meetings, strategic planning sessions, and project reviews, playing an active role in the decision-making process.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer programming with a strong focus on network protocols or network design/engineering (e.g., IPv4, IPv6, IPsec, TCP/UDP sockets, tunneling, MPLS).
• Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and systems programming with an emphasis on networking applications and protocols.
• Network Expertise: Thorough understanding of network design, development, and implementation from concept to completion.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, particularly in presenting technical network-related information to clients and managers.
• Project Management: Proven decision-making and multitasking skills, with a history of successfully completing projects on time.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
