Position Overview:

• The Senior Cost Accountant plays a key role in standard costing, budgeting, cost variance analysis, and business process improvements. Core Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actuals.
• Manage, maintain, and improve the cost accounting system.
• Collect and analyze data to determine costs associated with business activities, including raw materials, labor, and other standard-related expenses.
• Lead and participate in physical inventories, reporting results to the executive team.
• Assist with month-end closing by preparing journal entries related to various product lines and standard costs.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing and support new product development.
• Prepare various ad hoc reports as requested by local or executive management.
• Enhance standard cost reporting and conduct variance analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on cost accounting.
• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Self-starter with strong communication (oral and written) and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JD Edwards ERP system.
