Position Overview

• This role is responsible for leading a team of CAD Designers, primarily using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault for industrial control panel designs. The CAD Manager will coordinate the work of up to ten CAD Designers, ensuring high standards and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Engineering: Design and document electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts for projects.
• Develop and Maintain Procedures: Enforce CAD standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Productivity Enhancements: Analyze and produce customizations, including automated quality checks, to enhance productivity.
• Technical Expertise: Transfer CAD data to our Production CNC machine.
• Training: Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, upgrades, and best practices.
• CAD Support: Provide production and technical support for all CAD software.
• Communication: Hold regular CAD meetings to disseminate new information to the CAD group.
• Resource Scheduling: Allocate CAD Designer resources to appropriate jobs.
• Collaboration: Work well with others, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with UL508A Control Panel design is essential.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Servant-leadership attitude.

Education

• Two-year degree in CAD Technology.
