Role Overview:

  • As an Engineering Technician IV, you will provide essential customer support for onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of semiconductor equipment primarily in Hillsboro, Oregon. This role requires full-time presence at assigned locations and flexibility to work night shifts on a compressed work week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment within factory standard specifications.
  • Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of system equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison with customers on assigned projects.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance independently and with a team.
  • Provide technical support to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide periodic reports.
  • Conduct training for customer personnel to ensure service proficiency.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system is preferred.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Customer support experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and comply with customer policies, including COVID-19 measures.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and other physical activities.
